Crews called to area pond after witnesses say they found a body
NEWTON, NC (WBTV)- Crews have not found a body after they searched for two hours at an area of the Rock Barn Golf Course in Conover early Wednesday morning.
The Claremont Rescue Team were called to assist the Catawba County Sheriff's office with the search after police said two people who were searching the pond for golf balls said they believed they found a body.
The crews used side scan sonar to search the pond bottom.
Investigators said they have not closed the case.
