HICKORY, NC (WBTV)- Someone intentionally set a fire broke out Wednesday morning at a motel in Hickory, according to the Hickory Fire Department.
The fire broke out before 9 a.m. in a second floor room at the Red Roof Inn on Lenoir-Rhyne Boulevard. Firefighters responded with two engines, one ladder, and one command unit, firefighters told WBTV.
The fire was quickly put out, and no injuries were reported.
According to the Hickory Fire Department, the fire has been ruled as arson, but no other details have been released.
Damage estimates to the motel are around $8,000.
